Synonyms (1) lineate leaves1
GRAMENE GENEGR:0200308
Type Gene
Species Zea mays subsp. mays (Maize) [ GR_tax:014546 ]
Germplasm
Description Fine, white striations on basal half of mature leaves. Mutant plants are
generally vigorous as normal, except when mutant expression is extreme. Lower
leaves of plants normal. Striping first appears on about the 10th leaf from the
seed. The general effect of the closely spaced fine stripes is to give the
blade a grayish appearance that contrasts sharply with the uniform green of
normal leaves (Collins & Kempton 1920). Genetic 2005 10 coordinates determined
from these recombination and map data: og1 -11.7- li1 -10.2- g1; zn1 du1 TB-

curated in MaizeGDB Database and the map position was displayed on the maize
bins map if feasible.
