Description:

A subset of 166 RILs, chosen randomly from a population of 475 lines derived from a cross between two advanced breeding lines, IR58821-23-B-1-2-1 and IR52561-UBN-1-1-2, was used as the mapping population. The RILs were developed by single-seed descent to the F7 generation at IRRI. Both parentals were indica types. A total of 399 markers (96 RFLP and 303 AFLP) were mapped at an average distance of 5 cM between markers. The total map distance was 2022 cM with a LOD threshold of 3.0.
